I grew up in Upstate New York, and my father is from York, Pennsylvania and my mother is from Savannah, Georgia. Both sides of my family immigrated here from Russia. My mother's family originally lived in Flint, Michigan and my father's family originally lived in the Lower East Side of New York City.
