My mother's parents immigrated to Denver, Colorado from Italy in 1916, by way of Ellis Island. My fathers's grandparents, my great grandparents, also immegrated here from Italy. One of my great grandfather's was a coal miner starting at the age of 9 in Louisville, CO near Boulder. I live on the same street where my mother was born in 1930 and one block away from where my great grandparents lived.
