I was born and raised in LA. My father has grandparents who fled to the US on the Lusitania (pre-sinking). Family lore is that the Russian tsar wanted his head for spreading socialist propaganda, but it’s lucky they left when they did. Nazis exterminated 95% of Jews of their home city 40 years later. My mom’s family has roots in the US going back to possibly the 17/18th century. Her mother’s family migrated to LA during the Dust Bowl as Okie refugees. I’m always amazed at what a miracle it is for most people to be here. Life and age are gifts. Peace & Love.
